Westoning Netball club was set up in 1997 by Dot Bassett and her daughter Julie; both are still involved with the club and in her senior years Dot is an inspiration to us all, still mentoring our umpires.
The club now has over 140 members, winning many competitions and tournaments. We have had girls from the club playing at county level, regional level, in Futures Mavericks and have even played for England.
We have a wonderful team of volunteer coaches, including Debbie Ellis who recently passed her Level 3 qualification.
The club takes players from Years 2-11 and are always keen to hear from anyone interested in playing netball.
We train on a Friday evening in Ampthill, Bedfordshire and play in the Bedford League on a Wednesday evening with our year 9-11's and a Sunday with our year 4-8's
We have a fantastic group of coaches and youth helpers that work across all of our year groups.
